Dr. Jayme-Lynn Shaughnessy attended the University of Toronto, where she received her Honors Bachelor of Science studying Human Biology, Psychology and Physiology in 2007. She then attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where she attained her Doctor of Chiropractic in 2011. Upon graduating, Dr. Shaughnessy opened her own practice in Ingersoll Ontario where she provided care to families in Oxford County for over 12 years. As she worked to grow her practice and serve her community she also grew her family welcoming two children with her husband in 2013 and then again in 2014. As a busy mom, and practitioner Dr. Shaughnessy learn quickly how difficult it can be to juggle family life and find time to take care of your own health. This lesson has continued to motivate Dr. Shaughnessy to provide excellent care for her patients and equip them with the knowledge and tools to achieve and maintain optimal physical health and functioning.

In the fall of 2019, Dr. Shaughnessy opened a satellite clinic in Woodstock in order to be closer to her home and her children. Since then her Woodstock presence and practice has grown and in December 2023 she decided to move her primary practice to her Woodstock location where she now works full time. Dr. Shaughnessy has always kept busy outside of her practice, teaching Anatomy, coaching basketball, practicing yoga, volunteering at her childrens school, and enjoying the odd jog in her spare time. She loves living in the community where she grew up and strives to give back to her community wherever and whenever she can.
